LTSC Annual General meeting:
The AGM for the Log Transport Safety Council will be held on Thursday the 24th of June at the Rotorua Racecourse at 2pm, this will follow the normal LTSC meeting, and all financial members are invited to attend.

The new National certificate for Log Truck Drivers has being accepted by Tranzqual, and they have now applied for funding for this new certificate. Any driver starting on the National certificate now will being working towards the new certificate. If you would like to see a copy of the new certificate, please contact the secretary.
The LTSC is now in the process of developing a senior driver certificate, this will be developed in conjunction with other sectors of the Road Transport Industry, but we will be having a log transport component as part of this. |

LOG DRIVERS REVVING UP ON NEW HEALTH AND FITNESS PROGRAMME
A health and fitness programme designed for logging truck drivers is already helping a group of drivers lighten their loads after less than two months on the go.
„Fit for the Road‟ is a pilot programme that is helping 46 drivers and some transport company staff get fit, eat healthily and lose weight. It is supported by the Log Transport Safety Council and ACC. |
